If you used an eraser to erase a box that you selected and afterward you want to check that same box again, is it okay to just cross that box again, even though the outlining of that box may be missing?
I know that this shouldn't happen in the first place, but sometimes I do make stupid mistakes 😉

yes that's ok and usually correctly recognized in the scan (white = not selected, blue/black = selected).
