QCM negative points

Hello,

Could we have more information on the QCM grading?
I hear there are negative points for wrong answers but could you explain us how they are established ? (since some questions have multiple answers / some are based on true-false / ...)

Thank you in advance

yes there might possibly be negative points (the idea is that random guessing gives about zero pts on average).

this will be clearly stated on the first sheet of the exam. we will share that first sheet by email with everyone a day before the exam. it looks like this: cs433-exam-first-page.jpg

To follow up on this question, what is the consensus for questions where there may be multiple correct answers? Further will we be told if there are multiple correct choices?

every MC question has precisely one correct answer

Hi,

Are calculators allowed in this year's exam? If so, what kind of calculators are allowed?

Thx
