Lab project, is it okay to have a project oriented toward data analysis using ML
Hi, we did contact a lab and the projected is more focused on doing data analysis using ML. Would it be a valid project 2?
Here some background :
Regarding the decoding, I was using a Generalized linear model to predict the trial outcome (Hit vs Miss) based on spiking activity of the neurons. As a result even from the baseline activity of the neurons (right before the trial starts), I could predict the outcome of the trial above the chance level. And as _ mentioned it could be very interesting to see which signal is more informative to do this prediction (spikes, LFP, or movement of different body parts of the mouse).
