mae subgradient

Hi,

I don't understand the solution for the subradient of MAE in the exam 2016. How can we compute the gradient with respect to the labels yn. h isn't defined, and I don't understand why we subtract f at the end.

Thanks for the helpCapture.JPG

I think there is a parenthesis missing here, you take the gradient of everything inside the abs value

this is in the solution PDF of lab 2 (theory solutions). no?

Hello, would it be wrong to assume y_n is independent of w and have only g(y-f)*(-f') ?
