Question about the "Standard Approaches" meaning

Hi

I wonder what's the "standard approaches" meaning in Project2:
"Pick your favorite competition among the following two online competitions. Don’t be influenced by their seemingly different difficulty level, since your contribution as compared to standard approaches will be taken into account in the grading"

Thanks so much.

This is about the predefined challenges for text and vision (AIcrowd).

"Standard Approaches" doesn't mean a hard-coded approach, it just refers to the scientific value and level of novelty that you add. Of course we don't expect you to invent the best-in-the-world new approach, but also we'd be a bit disappointed if you just use the available most well-known baseline codes freely available.

Also, final accuracy and ranking reached is only part of the story. You can also impress our reviewers if you provide creative insights (such as that for this data, aspect X of method Y makes it perform 10% better than naive approach Z, and we think this is because ...)
