Data Scientist 80-100%
This is a permanent position. Starting date is February/March 2022 or by agreement.
Your tasks
Perform data analyses to support evidence-based science policy decisions. For example, identify biases against certain categories of grants or applicants by applying statistical analyses to observational data.
Develop algorithms to optimize research grant evaluation procedures. For example, understand the changing research landscape in Switzerland and how to assign reviewers to grant proposals via topic modelling and text analysis.
Write data stories, reports, and academic publications.
Your profile
Master’s or PhD (preferred) in data science, machine learning, or related field
Experience with machine learning methods, including topic modelling, text mining and natural language processing (NLP)
General data analysis skills, including data visualization and statistics
Proficient coding skills in R (tidyverse); SQL is an asset
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Fluency in English and either German or French
