Does an appendix with derivations count in the 4 pages. It would take a lot of space to write the derivation so I was thinking to instead put it in an appendix, can we have 4 page of content but some extra pages for appendix? And if yes what can go in the appendix, other than derivations?
as in scientific paper submissions, you can not expect that the reviewers read the appendix (they might, but your main contributions should be clear from the main part). so it's not encouraged, but ok for some technical stuff (like you could also put it in the readme and code documentation etc)
